SHORT DESCRIPTION: Walking through the streets of the village of Tramonti di Sopra, one cannot help but notice several murals on the façades of the houses, which bear witness to the ancient craftsmanship of the Val Tramontina.
In 2010, artists such as Itala Gasparini, Stefano Urban, Omaira Ursela and many others participated in the “Murals in Tramonti di Sopra” competition, aimed at celebrating local craftsmanship past and present. These paintings decorate the streets and squares of Tramonti, creating an open-air art gallery where visitors can get a glimpse of the traditional craftsmanship of the valley.
Among the most impressive murals are “The Blacksmith” by Paolo Brasa, winner of the 2010 competition, “The Baker”, “Woodcutters at Work”, “The Grape Harvest (Stolen Kiss)” and “The Knife Sharpener”.
