SHORT DESCRIPTION: Villa Sulis, a 16th century mansion house, currently hosts the exhibition "The Castelnovo Pottery", consisting of 5,000 ceramic fragments found in Castelnovo del Friuli and dating back to 1500. The project to promote these ceramic finds consists in using the exhibition site as a laboratory and a place for educational activities and experimentation mainly concerning the ceramic production, ideally linking old and modern.
Villa Sulis also hosts many interesting events, such as the exhibition-event "Il Gno ort", which enhances and safeguards traditional practices of cultivation of horticultural and fruit species. From Castelnovo del Friuli there is a dense network of trails that crosses forests, waterfalls and streams and allows the sight of wild animals such as deer, roe deer or wild boar. These routes are the destination of all those who love trekking, mountain biking or even just walks in the open air with families.
